At Luko, Lukooms’ forces are divided into 5 tribes, set up in a product-based organisation. Each tribe constitutes several cross-functional squads (product + engineering + design) and executes towards its own roadmap for customer and business impact.

User Acquisition tribe focuses on Luko’s growth via the acquisition of new customers

Moment of Truth tribe aims at delighting our users throughout the whole life of their contract - claims included

New Business tribe focuses on launching new products, services and markets

The New Business tribe

As part of New Business, you will be focused on Luko's new launches. Whether that means verifying market needs by launching new insurance products and services or expanding into new countries and scaling internationally.
 

Your mission in the team:

Luko is seeking to go beyond the traditional insurer by preventing claims with smart devices. Following this vision, Luko Hardware team is developing Luko Water, a device that aims at curbing the #1 claim in number and value for home insurers.

This device is using ultrasonics to detect flow in a pipe, to achieve Luko’s strategy this device must cover as many houses as possible. 

As an R&D engineer, your mission will be to :

• Improve Luko water compatibility in houses,
• Investigate incompatibility cases with beta testers and customers,
• Improve Luko water performance and accuracy.
• Refine Luko water sensor module manufacturing process, to increase quality, reduce scrap and cost,
• Design, implement and test hardware and software modifications to reach the objectives above.

Who are you?

At Luko, your experience, personality and ability to think outside the box will be more valued than your degree!

Must-haves:

• You have at least 5 years of experience working on sensors, embedded systems or acoustic/ultrasonic systems.
• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Signal processing experience
• Very hands-on and good knowledge of embedded systems
• Language: Fluent English required

Nice to have:

• You have worked on consumer products
• You have prior experience in bringing products to the market
• you know how to solder, use an oscilloscope and the other main tools in electronics
• Knowledge of hardware and manufacturing
